Grace Children’s Village is a project in Uganda focused on poverty alleviation and opportunity creation. Since 2009, a demonstration farm, comprising crops and animals (pigs, goats and chickens), has been helping to improve farming techniques of local farmers. In 2010 two nursery classrooms were constructed and opened, with an additional three classrooms being planned to be built in 2012 - currently, other classrooms are hired for the other three nursery and primary classes until these are built. From February 2012 ~150 children are being educated in the school and 16 adults are employed at the project. Almost 80 children are sponsored, which we want to rise to 90 in 2012.
